Meet Duke, Cayenne, and Brandy of The Barking Lot. Each week, they open up their book of dog knowledge to educate you in the automotive field. They help teach both old dogs and young dogs new tricks.

Duke is a Plott Hound. Plott hounds are one of the largest hounds in the hound group and are North Carolina's state dog, found in the Rocky Mountains. Duke is a clown, and in his personal time, he enjoys ball & fetch, chasing lizards and squirrels, swimming, and sleeping on the big gray reading chair. He has claimed it as his.

Cayenne is a Red-tick Coonhound. Cayenne loves barking at you about your car, but she also enjoys lying in the sun, taking long naps, and getting into the kitchen garbage can looking for treasures. She has a wonderful “bay” as she is a hound dog, and she is always happy. In fact, she looks like she is smiling.

Brandy is the newest member of The Barking Lot, joining in December 2025. She is a Cavapoo (King Charles Cavalier Spaniel/Poodle). She was born on April 1,2025. She is still learning her way around a car, but don't be fooled, she is one smart pup. She is full of energy, runs super fast, enjoys her bones, and nap time. Duke and Brandy are best of friends and Duke shares his hound dog knowledge with her.
The dogs enjoy doing their weekly blog and teaching old and young dogs new tricks. They were also painted into the Allied Auto Works mural on the side of the building, which was refreshed after 25 years. Being on the Allied Auto Works payroll has paid off for these dogs. They enjoy their fame.
